RULES
PREAMBLE:
The Iliad doesn't describe battles with perfect movements of phalanges formations. According the Iliad, the ancient battles (1200 BC) were something more individual. The groups of troops followed their leaders and moved for spasms of courage or fear. Often the leaders stand out from the closed lines to attack an enemy that defends in a singular combat, both throwing their spears
The troops follow their leaders supporting them, and are very vulnerable to the morale changes because of the wounds deaths of their leaders, or because the attack of feared enemy leaders, for what happened attack and defense movements alternatingly, while the heroes try to avoid the scattering of the soldiers or other leaders..

Each player controls a leader or hero who commands an army of faithful followers.
Each army has 4 morale points. An army loses 1 morale point every time it is defeated or its leader is hurt (general destroyed in the battle). When an army has 0 morale points the troops are totally demoralized and escape from the battle.
An army can recover 1 morale point (without surpassing the 4 mp) if it wins a battle being attacker.

PHASES
1) Attacks phase: the players can carry out an attack announcing it on the forum. The players that are receiving an attack won't be able to attack, so is important to be quick in attacking. Duration of the attack phase: 4 days.
2) Battles: The player attacker will be low scorer. Duration of the phase of battles: 1 month. IŽll check habitually the status of the battles. If a battle doesn't finish in term, the player causing of the delay will lose the battle. If there is not a clearly delayer player, then both players will lose the battle.

A hero can carry out 1 attack per round. He can choose to what opponent attacks. Each attack will be announced on the forum. When a hero is being attacked, he cannot attack.
A leader can be attacked by several enemies.
ATTACKER PLAYER: Low scorer (choose map, deploy second). They can recover 1 morale point if wins the battle.
DEFENDER PLAYER: High scorer (deploy first, move first)
ATTACKER PLAYER VS ATTACKER PLAYER: Low scorer dice, blind deploy. These battles are formed by a attacker player and a interceptor player.
DEFENDER PLAYER VS DEFENDER PLAYER: Low scorer dice, blind deploy. These players are those that have not carried out any attack in the attacks phase. These matchs are at random.
If a player wins a battle being attacker, then he recovers 1 morale point.

A leader can intercept an attack that is being carried out on a companion. For example A is attacking B, C is companion of B. If C attacks A, then the first attack against B is annulled. Then C and A would fight, both would be attackers.
If a leader that is fighting is attacked, then he is defender.
This can be something complicated, so I have explained it with graphics .

ALEATORY CONFRONTATIONS
When finishes the phase of attacks, if there are leaders that don't attack neither defend they will fight among them in an aleatory way. The battles will be Blind Setup and Low scorer dice.

Each round (except the first one) the gods granting their help to 2 leaders:
Gods reward to the best and help to the worst in the battle of the previous day. (Each round represents 1 day of battle)
The calculation is carried out this way:
number of killed enemies + 3 (if general enemy dead) +1 (if enemy camp occupied) -
number of own troops dead - 3 (if own general dead) - 1 (if own camp occupied)
Gods grant invulnerability to the leader during that round (the general's death in battle doesn't subtract 1 morale point), and also grant a special favor that depends of what leader is.

The battle finishes when on the battle field they are only Greek or Trojans troops. That is to say, all the opponents have died or have escaped.
